EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP '96 William "Dixie" Dean Royal Mint Issue Silver Medal.

The superbly designed motif celebrates one of the most successful strikers of all times: William "Dixie" Dean. This famous centre-forward scored no less than 60 goals for his club, Everton FC, in the 1927/28 season alone. This record has never been beaten to the present day. In 1932, Dean again helped Everto TFC to win the English Championship, on 17th October of the same year, he played his last international game when England beat Northern Ireland 1: 0. In 1936 he scored his 353rd goal to become he highest scoring player in the country.
