The Englishman Gordon Banks is considered one of the best goalkeepers in history of football. The motif shows this excellent sportsman in one of his famous flying saves. He was born in Tamworth near Birmingham on December 30, 1937. He was first choice by the 1966 World Cup, when he became world Champion, he was capped 73 times, awarded the O.B.E by Queen Elizabeth II and elected "Footballer of the Year" in 1972.
