The obverse carries Raphael Maklouf’s elegant portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the Royal style and Titles in Latin 'Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith.' The Welsh inscription PLEIDIOL WYF I'M GWLAD ('True am I to my country') appears on the edge of the coin. SPECIFICATIONS: This One Pound coin is struck to Proof quality in sterling (.925) silver.
