United Kingdom £1 One Pound coin for 1992. Silver Proof 'Standard' Boxed with Royal Mint Certificate FDC. The coin represents England and features on its reverse an oak tree in its entirety, its trunk encircled by the Royal Diadem. This Previously appeared on the £1 coins of 1987, and is the work of the renowned silversmith Leslie Durbin. The obverse carries Raphael Maklouf's elegant portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with the Latin abbreviations of the surrounding Royal Style and Titles standing for 'by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith'. The edge of the coin bears the Latin inscription DECUS ET TUTAMEN, which translates as 'an ornament and a safeguard'. SPECIFICATIONS: This £1 coin is struck to Proof quality in sterling (.925) silver. It weighs 9.50 g and measures 22.50 millimetres in diameter.
