US, 1976 Silver Proof Medallic First Day Cover FDC Certificate. Commemorating THE BICENTENNIAL OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. July 4, 1776 INDEPENDENCE DAY. & Honouring the Bicentennial Visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In Sterling Silver with a Diameter: of 32 mm weighing 14.00 grams. Minted in Philadelphia by The Franklin Mint. It shows on the obverse an artist's impression, based on Trumbull's work, of the actual moment when Hancock put his name to the document. The reverse of the medal features a unique Bicentennial event, two hundred years later, the President of the United States, Gerald Ford, signed the successor to the earlier document. The Official Bicentennial Declaration for the People of the United States of America. The Official Bicentennial Declaration is expressed in these words: 'On the occasion of the Bicentennial Anniversary of the United States of America, we the undersigned do proudly reaffirm our dedication to the principles of Liberty, Justice and Freedom which led our forefathers to proclaim our nation's Independence two hundred years ago, on this day and in this place.
