1993-D dated 1991-1995 and issued in 1993, this Denver Mint dollar minted in 0.900 silver and with a diameter of 38 mm Commemorates the 50th anniversary of U.S. involvement in World war II which lasted from 1941 to 1945.

The obverse features a U.S. soldier on the beach at Normandy. The reverse depicts the shoulder sleeve insignia of Supreme Head Quarters Allied Expeditionary Force, with a quotation by Dwight D. Eisenhower.
