Five dollars depicts: Canoeing, illustrates a mode of transportation that was also a competitive sport in Canada's early days. Ten dollars: shows the fiercely competitive game of Lacrosse which was declared Canada's official sport in 1867. The other Five Dollars depict: Rowing, in which Canada won its first world championship. The other Ten dollar coin celebrates: CYCLING a sport enjoyed by many energetic Canadians in the 1870's. All Olympic (4) coin set contain 92.5% sterling silver. The $5 coins are 38mm in diameter, with a fine silver content of .723 troy oz. The $10 coins are 45mm in diameter with a fine silver content of 1.44 Troy oz each. Totalling almost 4.1/2 troy oz silver. This set is stunning, possibly this is the first time it's been opened since it's purchase over forty years ago.
