Struck in 92.5% Silver, diameter 23.88 mm, weight 6.00 g

Designed by Greg Salmela, the coin depicts two jack pines (Pinus banksiana) surrounded by scattered rocks which have survived a bitter climate; a unique image of Ontario's rugged landscape left behind by the glaciers.

Ontario, Canada's most populous and second largest province, was among the first four provinces to form the Dominion of Canada on July 1, 1867.
