To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of this momentous occasion, the Government of Tuvalu has authorised the Royal Mint to strike a limited number of silver Proof commemorative crowns. The reverse of this exquisite coin, modelled in the Royal Mint Engraving Department, shows the Archbishop of Canterbury placing St Edward's Crown upon the head of the new Queen Elizabeth II, the climax of the coronation ceremony. The obverse bears Raphael Maklouf's elegant portrait of Her Majesty.
