Part of the Official ECUs Commemorative Collection - Saint Stephen.
The motif of this ECU issue from Hungary, which is associated with the EU, shows the monument to Stephen, the first King of Hungary. it stands in front of the southern facade of the St. Matthew's Church in Budapest. The Fishermen's Bastion in the old part of the town of Budapest was built between 1895 and 1902. Together with the neighbouring St. Matthew's Church and the statue of St. Stephen as a horseman, it forms an architectural unit.
