United Kingdom 1986 XIII Commonwealth Games Silver Proof Commemorative £2 Two Pounds Coin. To commemorate the thirteenth Commonwealth Games, held in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1986. The reverse of the new £2 coin was designed by Norman Sillman. It features the Cross of St Andrew and a crown of laurel leaves upon which is superimposed the legendary Scottish thistle. The coin also bears an edge inscription "XIII commonwealth games Scotland 1986".
