Baroness Margaret Thatcher was born Margaret Hilda Roberts on 13th October 1925 in Grantham, Lincolnshire and studied Chemistry at Oxford University, where she became a member of the conservative association and took an interest in politics before deciding to train as a barrister. Margaret married businessman Denis Thatcher in 1951 with she had twins, Carol and Mark.
The Conservative party won the general election in 1979 and Margaret became the Prime Minister.Thatcher resigned in 1990, and died of a stroke at the age 87 on 8th April 2013
