Obverse: Standing figure of Helvetia (personification of Switzerland) facing left, wearing a toga, holding a spear in right hand, and leaning on a shield with the coat of arms of Switzerland. 22 stars around.
Lettering: HELVETIA A. BOVY INCT.

Reverse: Value and date in the centre field, within a wreath formed of two branches: pedunculate oak (quercus robur) on the left and alpine rose on the right, both tied in a ribbon at 6 0' clock. Mint mark below.
