In 2015 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II the Longest Reigning Monarch, the Royal Mint on behalf of Great Britain released a very Limited Issue Longest Reigning Monarch Piedfort £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver.
The reverse designed by James Butler depicts the familiar symbol of royalty, the Coronation Crown, while the obverse features a rare, commemorative effigy of Her Majesty the Queen.
The crown in the design is the Coronation Crown worn by The Queen back in 1953. It is framed by the important dates: 1952, the year Princess Elizabeth became queen, and 2015, the year she became the UK's longest reigning monarch.
