This collection comprises Piedfort specimens of the new commemorative coins for 2007 - the new crown celebrating the diamond Wedding Anniversary of the Queen and Prince Philip, a two-pound coin marking the 300th Anniversary of the Act of Union and another the 200th Anniversary of the Slave Trade Abolition Bill and, finally the fifty pence coin marking the centenary of the Scout Movement. Also included is the silver Piedfort £1 coin which, being the final coin in the Bridge series honouring the four constituent parts of the UK, representing England with a depiction of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. All have been struck in Sterling Silver Proof quality. A maximum of 3,000 Silver Proof Piedfort Collections for 2007 has been authorised.
