The Queen's Diamond Jubilee £5 Commemorative 2012 Coin in descriptive Sealed Royal Mint Folder

£22.00

In 2012, The Royal Mint issued a £5 crown to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Commemorative Crowns are issued almost every year, with a unique design for each. The Diamond Jubilee Crown is the first coin ever struck to commemorate a Diamond Jubilee.

The obverse features a new portrait of Her Majesty crowned and wearing the robes of the Order of the Garter, created especially for the Diamond Jubilee by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Also designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, the reverse features a portrait of the young Queen Elizabeth just as she appeared in her first portrait with the Latin words DIRIGE DEUS GRESSUS MEOS (May God Guide My Steps).
